The 2007 IAPP Privacy Academy

 

This year San Francisco is the destination for the IAPP Privacy Academy 2007. The IAPP is thrilled to bring one of the largest global gatherings of privacy professionals to the West Coast for the first time. California has led the way on many important privacy issues and will serve as an exciting backdrop as we tackle a diverse array of privacy themes, spanning a wide range of industries. 

As you've come to expect, the Academy will focus on the operational aspects of privacy, and will provide practical tools and sound advice you can take back to your organization. This year's event will pay special attention to privacy and technology, including mobile devices and wireless technology, marketing and behavioral targeting, emerging markets such as Asia Pacific, information security and, of course, data breaches-plus much more.

The Academy also will examine the changes privacy has undergone in recent years and forecast where it's headed: What were we thinking five years ago and what should we be thinking about as we approach the end of the decade?
